Roșia Montană and UNESCO

On Antena 3 documents are being presented which state plainly that including Roșia Montană on the UNESCO heritage list “gravely undermines Romania’s position” — and this before the ruling in Washington has been handed down.

Might not the debating of this grave matter less than a day before the ruling be itself of a nature to “gravely undermine Romania’s position”?

Is this debate, in this at least “defeatist” tone, not itself a plea against Romania’s interests, an implicit support for Romania’s adversaries?

In the normal course of things one ought to have pleaded for Romania to the very end… or simply to have kept silent, at least until tomorrow.

Stupidity or villainy?

I merely ask.

Postscript: this programme bears a strong resemblance to the positions expressed in advance on the question of the gas in Romania’s offshore.

Is that not a form of participation in betrayal?

Whose interests do these fellows serve when they speak of the “very large damages” Romania might have to pay from tomorrow?

If tomorrow Romania wins, how will they explain this programme?

Or… do they know something not yet made public?

A great many questions.

We await the answers.
