The Laws We Need

The critic is rightly asked to build as well. Here are the texts in which I moved from diagnosis to remedy.

The Sovereignty Act — removing the security men from the courts, from the economy and from politics, demilitarising the services, forbidding funds outside the state budget, punishing interference in the act of justice. The Sovereignty Constitution — thirteen amendments to seven articles, all with a single purpose: that the people should exercise their sovereignty through their Parliament, and not through men no one has elected. The Solidarity Act — a turnover tax on multinationals. The offshore law and the amendments rejected without a single deputy being able to say what was wrong with them.

All of them were rejected. Not one was argued against on the merits. History will notice the difference.
