Why Does the East Hold Out?
Certainly, Novax Djokovic is a hero. He has the bearing and the stature of a hero: young, tall, handsome, a champion, a believer, a conservative, a nationalist. And he is also filthy rich, while at the same time generous, modest and humble. Ready, in spite of the advantages given by his exceptional social standing as an international star, to give up his privileges and the esteem of the politically correct media, for his creed, for his struggle. For yes, Djokovic is a true fighter; and not only on the clay courts, but on the front of a global war against Normality, against that “Old World” to which he too belongs. He has every quality for a statue to be raised to him, probably, some day, somewhere. And the Serbs will raise it, if they have not raised it already! For the Serbs know how to honour their heroes. But until then his name is written on all the walls of the former “civilised world”, because Djokovic has just passed from the rank of hero to a far more important one: to the standing of a symbol of the struggle for freedom and dignity!
Well done to him! And we thank him!
But these lines are not about Djokovic. Not about him alone! They are about the world that created all those “Novax Djokovices”, about the society that gave birth to the nameless heroes, without money or privileges, who fight for freedom risking much. Risking everything, sometimes.
For the question arises naturally: why are these persons, with attitudes sometimes open but most often silent and discreet, cunning in evading the abusive measures, so numerous in… eastern Europe? Why did the “civilised” west fall prey so quickly and so easily to the offensive of lies and dictatorial measures? Why does the EAST still hold out?
Obviously, my brief analysis will rest on the direct observations I have made day by day in Romania, observations which I am convinced can be extended to the whole of eastern Europe. So then…
Why does the East hold out? What insurmountable obstacles did the propagandists of terror and of compulsory vaccination find here, that they have not managed to carry out their plan until now?
Well, the first and most important obstacle is CHRISTIANITY. And especially ORTHODOXY.
The Romanian, in his often diluted faith, sometimes too superstitious or superficial, has a faithfulness beyond dogma or the rigour of the rite. This faithfulness goes even beyond belief, being, as the dictionary says, Devotion, Fidelity, Honesty. The faithfulness of the Balkan man (I propose that we rid ourselves of the complex of calling ourselves Balkan — the pandemic having proved the excellence of this region!), of the Romanian and of the Serb in particular, of the easterner in general, is a state in itself, a way of being, beyond and far surpassing a way of thinking or of living. That is why, even if he is not a practising Christian, even if he does not go to the services even on Sunday, the Balkan man knows and lives the reality of the Resurrection, indeed of Adoption as a son… in other words, the Balkan man has the perspective and the sense of eternity. And of the Real Presence of God as well! Hence… the apparent lack of care, the open disregard of the rules of “social distancing” and “health safety”. The ignoring or the circumventing of the dictatorial measures imposed under the pretext of the pandemic, or the formal or “informal” refusal to be vaccinated… all under the pressure of the threat of imminent death.
In a population where people still say “Christ is risen” and where there still remains the memory of the verses of Psalm 117 — “In my distress I called upon the Lord and He heard me and brought me into a wide place. The Lord is my helper; I will not fear what man shall do unto me…” — or the echo of the chant “God is with us! / Understand, ye nations, and submit yourselves, / for God is with us! / Give ear, all ye to the ends of the earth, / for God is with us! Ye mighty ones, submit yourselves, / for God is with us!…” — it is impossible to succeed with the propaganda of the fear of death or of the fear of authority.
That is also why the plandemic authorities, or, more generally speaking, the architects of the New Normality, held from the very beginning that the Church is the chief obstacle to the making of the “New World”. And they were right! And precisely for that reason they tried by every means either to master it by subjecting it, or to push it to the margins, to drive its faithful away for fear of the virus. They did not succeed… the reality is that the churches are fuller and fuller. And that is a first sign that their plan is about to fail in the east.
The second very important obstacle is the memory of dictatorship. And of terror. But also of propaganda in a totalitarian state. It is simply impossible, if you have had the slightest contact with the world before ’89, not to notice striking similarities. When you have not seen it with your own eyes, when you have been the witness, during the “pandemic”, to enormities more inflated than the parades of 23 August… When you see the army in the streets with armoured carriers and 7.62 calibre machine guns brought out to protect you from a virus… it is clear from the very start to your mind, immunised against totalitarian propaganda, that things are “thick”… that the lie is “thick”. Then the verbal stereotypes, the bulging eyes, the grave tone, the disaster news — the dead, the sick, the blocked hospitals — but also the glorious ones — the lorries with penguins full of vaccines, or the queues for “immunisation” — all have that false and hollow “air” of the “Telejurnal” before ’89, with five-year plans fulfilled in four and a half, though now they are far more colourful and everywhere they are called “BREAKING NEWS”.
Institutionalised lying — the vaccine which, though it does not immunise, nevertheless “keeps you from death” (sic!), or the evident logical falsehood of the propaganda messages — “Get vaccinated with a serum (which does not protect you from the disease) in order to protect your neighbour from a disease which both you and he can contract and transmit even though you have both been vaccinated” — none of it can take hold even before a “falcon of the fatherland” from the years of the dictatorship before ’89.
Yes, we Romanians have developed antibodies to dictatorship which are still active, antibodies that quickly detect the viruses of the New Dictatorship trying to infect (without success so far) all the cells of society. And this unlike our neighbours to the west, who over the past 55 years have seen dictatorship only with their mouths full of popcorn while dozing off before romanticised films in which there had unfailingly to appear the “good guy” and the “good face”, the saving and civilising heroes come from the great west, who restored dee-mockracy here and there.
Not least, the third formidable obstacle to the establishment of the New Normality and of its propaganda is the chronic distrust of the Balkan man, of the Romanian in particular, towards authority. For how could the Romanian citizen ever trust the politician, the ruler who now suddenly wishes him well, after the same politician and ruler have for 32 years betrayed him, robbed him, violated him, humiliated him, sold him off by the piece like slaves, given away the riches of the country for thirty pieces of silver and taken everything from him and given him nothing… and now, suddenly, they wish him well… BY FORCE! This imposition of “good” by force reminds the Romanian all too strongly of many other “goods” done by force: of the “privatisations” and “liberalisations” carried out constantly badly and villainously, against his will and his interests, by the same “civilising” politicians, dismounted from the Great West, who now again, as if on cue… want to do him nothing but “good”, naturally! And again at the urging of the WEST! But this time it really is a matter of the good of all — so the “elected” of the people assure us. Mmhm, of course…
In vain did they try to push forward the army and the doctors! — professions which until not long ago enjoyed a certain trust! In vain were the plainly political measures called measures of health protection or of epidemiological Prevention. In vain!
The mere presence of the doctors and the soldiers alongside the politicians has stained them irremediably in the eyes of the population.
In vain did they buy the whole press with subsidies and state “aid”. In vain! Every trace of the press’s credibility in the eyes of the population has vanished like cigarette smoke. For the “press”, which has suddenly and almost unanimously become an organ of propaganda, will come out of this pandemic just as soiled.
The conclusion is simple: the “good” offered by a hand that has constantly done you harm… simply cannot be either believed or accepted!
And the Romanian politicians have constantly done harm to the Romanian people over the past 32 years.
Very briefly, I believe these would be the conditions for the appearance of a type of citizen resistant and immune to the “New Normality”, who may already be called generically the “Novax Djokovic Citizens”.
