A Proposal: an End to Clear-Cutting

1. “The clear-cutting of forest stands on the territory of Romania and the export of unprocessed timber (logs, sawn timber, beams or railway sleepers) are forbidden until 1 January 2100.

Failure to observe paragraph one, as well as any act committed with the intention of contaminating, infecting, infesting or poisoning the forest fund and the trees on the territory of Romania, entails the criminal liability of the perpetrator and is punished by imprisonment of from 5 to 20 years and the prohibition of certain rights.”
