The Image of Our Defeat

A German speaks to his camarilla, alone, from beneath the Arch of Triumph. He speaks there, where the Romanian soldiers marched in victory — those left alive after other Germans had killed some 530,000 of their brothers. Of our grandfathers!

Now, 102 years later, the national day and the Arch of Triumph have been confiscated from us. By a German and a Hungarian.

And we, for fear of a flu, let them steal everything from us… including the right to pretend that we are proud!
