Notes at the End of a World
Gathered here, in one place, are my writings of the past sixteen years: more than two thousand three hundred texts published between August 2010 and today, together with the books, the draft laws and the studies I am still working on.
I wrote them all hot, in the thick of things, never knowing whether anyone would ever read them at all. I have collected them now because, seen together, they say something no single text can say: this is the chronicle of a country that let itself be robbed in silence — a cowardly and complicit silence — at a grim and troubled end of an era… but also the chronicle of the fact that there were still a few people who refused to keep quiet.
You will find nothing retouched here. I corrected typing errors and restored the diacritics — that is all. Every text carries its date and the address of the original post, so that you may satisfy yourself that nothing was written after the fact.
I must add that this is not an online CV, nor a site of advertisement or of electoral campaign. It is the means by which I render an account, a “report”, as “exhaustive” as it could be made, of my public activity in the service of the city — of the society whose citizen I am, and which I have served in good faith with what knowledge and strength I had.
What the “new” world being born out of this end of a world will be like depends on us. I only hope that, in my unworthiness, I may have sown a few good seeds as well.
The entries themselves are given in Romanian, in the author’s own words. The frame of the site — the themes, the syntheses and the pages of presentation — is translated. Each entry opens on its own page, with the date and the address of the original post.

The author
Member of the Bucharest Bar, publicist and initiator of legislation. I wrote the Sovereignty Act and the Sovereignty Constitution, founded the Coalition for the Nation, and pleaded, year after year, cases nobody else would take.
For sixteen years I have written about this country, almost daily. Sometimes I was right too early — which, in Romania, is called being a conspiracy theorist.
